Each year, workers are exposed to falls from height while operating elevated work platforms. Performing work using scissor lifts or articulating booms is commonplace on construction sites, however many misconceptions exist surrounding the proper fall protection requirements when operating this machinery. Injuries occur when equipment is used incorrectly or operated in an uncertain environment. John has been in the fall protection business for over 23 years. His career path has covered product management, marketing, product development, training and technical services. From a technical perspective, John also looks after over 40 Certified Repair Facilities for 3M. His background includes serving on the Canadian Standards Association Technical Committee for Fall Protection as well the American National Standards Institute equivalent in the United States. John has been active in contributing to industry associations, regulators and the Standards Committees as a subject matter expert for fall protection.
